Meet our expert team

Our team are a passionate and diverse group of professionals dedicated to supporting children and families with tailored education and care.

Sarah

Managing Director

With 15 years of experience as a teacher in mainstream education, she describes herself as having been a strict educator.

Sarah is also a mother to three boys, each with unique needs, including ASD, ADHD, Cystic Fibrosis, dyspraxia, dyslexia, and trauma attachment. Their challenges were the driving force behind the creation of Active TT in 2012.

Leanne

Deputy Head of service

Fully qualified teacher and Deputy Head of Service, Leanne has taught a variety of subjects in diverse settings, including mainstream schools, speech and language units, and a specialist behaviour centre.

For over a decade Leanne has worked with vulnerable children and families who require additional needs.

Kate

Business Manager

With a first-class BA in the arts, Finance and Business Manager, Kate manages the Active TT's finances.

She is deeply committed to our mission and works diligently behind the scenes to coordinate staff and student schedules. Her dedication ensures the smooth processes and helps students reach their potential.

Emma

Administrator

Emma manages customer documentation and compiles reports.

Emma is a mother to three daughters with additional needs, including ADHD and trauma attachment; and provides support for any issues that arise, finding fulfilment in seeing misunderstood children thrive and discover their potential.

Bob

Tutor and Mentor

Bob offers a wide range of practical skills, including woodworking, painting and decorating, carpentry, plumbing, and electrics. A keen outdoorsman, Bob enjoys gardening, fishing, and coaching sports.

His practical skills provide students with unique opportunities for growth and engagement.

Laura

Tutor

Qualified primary school teacher, Laura has spent the past three years teaching Key Stage 1.

Laura thrives in her ability in proving in-depth support for pupils in need. She is passionate about making the most of activities that directly impact the social, mental, and physical well-being of children.

Junior

Tutor and Mentor

Tutor and Mentor, Junior teaches Maths (KS1-5), English (KS1-5), and Science (KS1-4).

Having tutored students from primary to A-level, our qualified Secondary Maths Teacher has two years of classroom experience five years working and volunteering with youth groups as a mentor.

Katie

Tutor

Katie is a fully qualified teacher with five years of classroom experience, specialising in both lower and upper Key Stage 2.

She is passionate about creating engaging and accessible learning environments where all pupils can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
